You work hard to be creative and innovative only to have someone waiting in the wings to steal or copy them. While this is infuriating, if you change your outlook it actually becomes a stroke to your ego — and who doesn’t need their ego stroked every now and then.
The copycat is simply impressed and intrigued with your work. There is another saying which says, “When you’re original expect to be copied.” This couldn’t be any closer to the truth. There’s nothing to be mad about. Laugh and keep doing what you’re doing. Rest assured there won’t ever be another you. You are a unique creation and no matter how much a person tries, they won’t ever duplicate you.
Keep doing what you’re doing. Hold your head up high while you’re doing it. They’re missing one integral piece… you. Therefore they will only be able to keep up for so long.
Bid them farewell and keep pushing your creative envelope.
